The Aaron Copland Fund for Music, Inc. is pleased to announce the recipients of the Performance Program grants for the 2024 round. 161 awards totaling $925,000 were made in the areas of both general operating and project support.
The Fund received applications from over 390 organizations requesting in excess of $3.8 million. From these, an independent panel reviewed the applications, discussed their relative merits, and made grantee determinations.
A complete list of grantees is available on the Fund's web site.
In keeping with his lifelong devotion to the music of America, Aaron Copland created the Fund and bequeathed to it a large part of his estate. The Fund’s purpose is to encourage and improve public knowledge of contemporary American music. The Fund operates three grant programs: a Performance Program for performing organizations and presenters, a Recording Program for commercial recording projects, and a Supplemental Program for service organizations and other non-profit institutions that undertake activities that are not covered by one of the other programs.
The next deadline for applications to the Performance Program will be in June 2025.
