The Aaron Copland Fund for Music mourns the passing of our friend and founding board member, David Del Tredici. A celebrated American composer himself, David first met Aaron Copland in 1964, and the two became lifelong friends and colleagues. Named to the board by Copland in his will, David’s contributions were instrumental in the development of the Fund and its grant programs throughout his 30 years of service, and we will always remember his leadership and steadfast guidance with fondness and great gratitude. We send our deepest condolences to David’s family and worldwide circle of friends as we join them in mourning the loss of a brilliant musician and a singularly vibrant man.
