The Aaron Copland Fund for Music, Inc. is pleased to announce the recipients of the Performance Program grants for the 2025 round. 158 awards totaling $896,500 were made in the areas of both general operating and project support.
The Fund received applications from over 380 organizations requesting in excess of $3.9 million. From these, an independent panel reviewed the applications, discussed their relative merits, and made grantee determinations.
A complete list of grantees is available on the Fund's web site.
In keeping with his lifelong devotion to the music of America, Aaron Copland created the Fund and bequeathed to it a large part of his estate. The Fund’s purpose is to encourage and improve public knowledge of contemporary American music. In addition to the Performance Program, the Fund established a Recording Program for commercial recording projects, and a Supplemental Program for service organizations and other non-profit institutions.
The 2025 cycle is the last cycle of the Performance Program. However, funding opportunities for performing ensembles and presenters will remain available through the General Support Program and Project Support Program beginning in 2026. For more information about these programs, including deadlines and eligibility requirements, please see the program guidelines on the Fund's website.
